Sonburn Road Journal

We just got off the plane from Nashville and we have good news. Word Records has offered Sonburn a recording contract and we are currently negotiating a deal with them. We are very excited and want to thank all of you for your prayer and support.

We played our first show after completing the 5 song EP and sold 200 copies in Knoxville, TN on Saturday night! Next, we head over to San Diego for Spirit West Coast where we play Friday, May 28th at 3:30pm. After that, we'll come back home for a bit, finish the final editing on our music video for Second Chances, and release our EP in Arizona at Make Waves on June 18th.

As soon as things are finalized with Word Records, we'll let you know...and we'll have a big party.

We have been invited to play a concert with some of the artists from this weekends Crash Competition on Friday, May 7th @ Phoenix First Assembly. Come see us play and hear some more of the new songs!

Also, we will be shooting a portion of our music video at the show, so be there and you just might get in the video!

Well...we won the Crash Competition!!!!!!! Over 30 bands and 100 artists total competed over the weekend at Community Church of Joy in Glendale, AZ and we won first prize. So now, we are going to play at Spirit West Coast May 28-30. We will find out exactly when our time slot is in the next few days, so keep checking back. Thanks to everyone for your support in coming out to see us the last few days. It really means a lot to us that you were there.

Ok, we are going to release an EP. This is a 5 song CD from the tracks we recorded in Nashville. We are doing this to get the songs out to you guys before our CD is released nationally. We are really close to signing a deal in Nashville, so keep praying!
The EP will be available soon, we are waiting on a few things to be ironed out, but it is off to print and we will have it in 2 weeks.

On May 17th, we're flying out to Nashville to play a showcase for Word Records. We will hang out with them for a few days and then drive over to Knoxville, TN to play a show for the Silver Ring Thing on the 22nd. When we return to Phoenix, we will probably release the EP at our next live show.

ALSO, ONE LAST THING...We are shooting a music video at the end of this week for the song SECOND CHANCES on our new CD. We will begin filming on Friday night and Saturday here in Phoenix, then it's off to Yuma and San Diego to finish out the different location shots.
